While I can appreciate that George Lucas still employs someone like Drew Struzan to create the poster art for his films using old-fashioned illustration, seeing the same images used over and over again (not to mention that the posters for all the Star Wars Special Editions and prequels look exactly alike) is extremely dissapointing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893206653438189717.post-43839178111710554662011-02-24T06:02:09.127-05:002011-02-24T06:02:09.127-05:00I really love how there used to be so many differe...I really love how there used to be so many different takes on the material in those days, and really hate how boring and standardized all advertising images have become today. There's nothing exciting about seeing the exact same approved publicity images on every single spinoff product out there for a movie. I wish they'd go back to this type of thing, not to mention use painted art once in a while.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893206653438189717.post-72279595311863963122011-02-23T19:49:11.922-05:002011-02-23T19:49:11.922-05:00Awesome! I haven't seen this stuff in years. The '70s were really a wonderful time for this sort of commercial illustration. Nothing coming out today is nearly as exciting or aesthetically pleasing, IMHO.jasonhttp://www.jasonbennion.comnoreply@blogger.com
