The show and merchandising was always rather inconsistent about their nature: were they simply machines? Or did they have organic minds? I like that Thurston maintained a consistency within his books.

The two Goulart novels I've read have been the weakest - Goulart is a very talented and versatile author, but you can tell when it's just a "for the money" gig.

Christopher Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15978811373546110421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893206653438189717.post-42386707441601058962013-01-14T09:51:57.265-05:002013-01-14T09:51:57.265-05:00Chris, YES, please review that last BSG book.. I believe that last one was from an unused script, but don't recall for sure.

And YES, I also read 'Death Machine' a couple dozen times, both because it's my favorite Galactica episode (besides 'Hand of God' and a few of the final ones..), but the book was indeed very well done. And I love snow planets.
david_bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00218727673816200051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893206653438189717.post-75922811468127018982013-01-13T11:52:23.966-05:002013-01-13T11:52:23.966-05:00Now that I found all my Best of... books, I'll...Now that I found all my Best of... books, I'll have to do a post on them one day....Christopher Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15978811373546110421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3893206653438189717.post-62198892293431974132013-01-13T11:51:37.806-05:002013-01-13T11:51:37.806-05:00Yeah, The Best of Trek series ran a long time.
