STARSHIP INVASIONS (1977) Lobby Cards

Here's a nice set of theater lobby cards from Ed Hunt's 1977 flying saucer sci-fi flick, Starship Invasions, starring Robert Vaughn and Christopher Lee (along with a lot of hot Canadian starlets as extraterrestrial space babes). As this was released in the States by Warner Brothers, I wonder what chance there is that they still have the rights? Or that we might see a DVD release from Warner Archive?  Hmmm....

  1. I remember reading about this in what we used to call the internet back then -- STARLOG. It eventually got shown on network TV and I FINALLY got to see it...

Well, at least the Space Babes were hot.

  2. I have some serious love/hate for this movie. I saw it in 1977 and thought that it was pretty cool. But now...wow. It needs the MST3K treatment.

  3. I remember seeing this movie for the first time when I watched it on TV in 1983. I had just seen Return of the Jedi at the theater that day so, needless to say, compared to George Lucas' big FX-laden extravaganza, Starship Invasions looked pretty lame to a twelve-year-old. I don't think I even bothered to watch the whole thing that night, although I've seen it a few times since. It's no Close Encounters, but its kinda fun to watch.

  4. Is it just me, or does the guy getting the Vulcan nerve pinch from the robot (second picture from the bottom) look like Rowan Atkinson?
