SHADO Interceptors race across the surface of the Moon with the help of a special effects technician in Gerry Anderson's 1970 series, UFO. Still one of my favorite spaceship designs of the era - even if they only had one missile each!
I love this site and I am always thrilled when you give us a new DVD announcement. This was the golden age of SciFi on TV and I am so happy that your blog is out here sharing all of this.
First - wow! Love your site! Glad to see others with fond memories of this great time in sci-fi keeping the torch lit!
Second - I agree... best spaceships with the best launch music ever...and those tubes the pilots would slide down to (presumably) land in their cockpit? Classic!
Agreed. The launch sequence was the best. Barry Grays music added a real punch to the scene.
