Coming Attractions: FUTUREWORLD (1976) Theatrical Trailer

Following up on yesterday's great Westworld/Futureworld news, here's the original theatrical trailer for Richard T. Heffron's return to the Delos resorts, where nothing can possibly go wrong... again. Futureworld. Enjoy.

  1. The control room scenes and the big rocket chamber scenes were filmed at Johnson Space Center in Houston, in the slow time between Apollo and Shuttle.

    1. Cool, I didn't know that. A good way to pump up the production value and authenticity!

  2. I'll never understand why they wasted Yul Brenner's appearance in the sequel. That's always bugged me about this movie.

    1. I think Futureworld missed a great opportunity when it came to figuring out a way to bring Brynner back. Throughout the movie, we keep seeing one robot with his face missing. I was certain that by then end we'd learn that it was actually the Gunslinger reprogrammed. But nope, weird dream sequence. I realize it would have been a bit of a plote hole given what happens to the Gunslinger in Westworld but I'd be willing to overlook it for what could have been a great reveal.
