Friday Night is Super Hero Night on CBS!

Ah, Friday nights on CBS in 1978 were fantastic fun for Star Kids, with back-to-back episodes of The New Adventures Of Wonder Woman, starring the stunning Lynda Carter, and The Incredible Hulk, with Bill Bixby and the titanic Lou Ferrigno! Two hours of prime time, live action comic book hero adventure.... and, apparently, lots of "evil scientists!" Those were the days, indeed!

  2. Yessiree. On Friday night, when my family and I at the football game!

I had the same problem in the eighties with Knight Rider and Manimal. Well, maybe it wasn't such a problem with Manimal.

  3. I liked both shows back then and own all the DVD sets now. The Hulk has aged a little better in my mind. Bill Bixby's acting helped with that point.

  4. Yeah, Bixby's acting was very strong on the show. His performance every week was the engine that made it all work.
Whenever I think back to that TV time I can't help but wonder if CBS ever considered trying to do a Wonder Woman and Hulk crossover special. That wasn't too uncommon back in those days. Example: Magnum P.I. and Simon and Simon, Dallas and Knots Landing. I don't know, it seems very unlikely. Warner Bros. and Universal probably wouldn't have gone for it, and I'm pretty sure DC and Marvel would have hated it.

  5. Great to see that Warner Bros. has made Arrow-now, if they could also make Nightwing...
