I remember the local tv station airing Star Trek's "Space Seed" one day, and watching that episode with my dad. We were both impressed with Ricardo Montalban's portrayal of Khan, since at that time we were both familiar with the actor from his Fantasy Island gig. At the end of the episode, when Kirk & Spock talk about the 'seed' they 'planted' by marooning Khan, my dad and I both wondered if a new Star Trek series might re-visit Khan... you know, if a new series ever got made after the mixed success of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (which we both lked, by the way).
We were immediately greeted by the trailer for Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, and both agreed that the tv station programmer who aired the ad right after that episode was a genius for doing so! (We also couldn't wait to see the film at the cinema, and were very pleased indeed when we finally saw it.) CR
