Behind-The-Scenes Pix #1: SPACE: 1999

One of Brian Johnson's effects team (or perhaps Johnson himself - obviously being very careful where he steps) on the miniature set representing planet Psychon's starship junkyard, from the Space: 1999 Season 2 premiere episode, "The Metamorph." A lot of previously-seen spaceship miniatures built by Martin Bower are lurking there in the dry ice fog....

DUDE. When I was a kid, I had a book called "Fantastic Planets" that was all about media SF and this photo was in it -- albeit in black & white.

Couldn't this be Brian Johnson himself on this picture ? I have seen a video of an on set interview where he is wearing the same funky blue jacket

This blog is dedicated to the science fiction films and television series of the 1970s - give or take a few years (say, 1969-1983) - including such nostalgic favorites as Star Wars, Space: 1999, UFO, Space Academy, the original Battlestar Galactica, Jason of Star Command, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Logan's Run and many others.
