Coming Attractions: THE OMEGA MAN (1971) Theatrical Trailer

Here's the trailer to 1971's The Omega Man, the second (official) film adaptation of Richard Matheson's novel, I Am Legend, and the second of Charlton Heston's Space: 1970-era sci-fi triptych (Planet of the Apes, The Omega Man, Soylent Green). Look for a full-length post on this quintessential Seventies doomsday flick in a day or two....

  1. I work on the Ranch Lot, Chucks "fortress" apartment is still here, we all just went up to the balcony a few weeks back....the fountain he expired in is still here too, only these days they call it the "Friends Fountain"..........I know better!

*edited for a really poor grammatical eror

  2. Looking forward to your full post on this warmly remembered film. As the author of the recently released RICHARD MATHESON ON SCREEN, I am of course mindful of the fact that the first version, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, is by far the most faithful adaptation of the novel. Yet I am also a die-hard fan of '60s and '70s cinema, and in that capacity I enjoy THE OMEGA MAN in the same spirit of enthusiasm and affection; ditto the rest of the Heston triptych.

  3. Awesome movie. Check out my fansite -
