Look-In: Steve Austin Meets John Koenig

Here's a team-up that you'd only find on the cover of Britain's Look-In magazine. Here's The Six Million Dollar Man and Space: 1999's intrepid Moonbase Commander, as rendered by artist Arnaldo Putzu in 1975.

  1. Oh, I hunted for Look-In quite a bit a few years back. They ALWAYS had very cool, HUGE 1999 pics back in the day. I had an awesome Tony Anholt picture that unfortunately got wrinkled, but will have to 'reaquire' some day soon.

No dis, but why does it look like the art was done with one of those old paint-by-numbers kits? My only guess is someone light-boxed or overhead projected photos of Lee Majors and Martin Landau; they're photo-realistic, yet... weird.

You can keep the rest of the magazine, as long as I can have the pin-up of Bryan Ferry! (swoon!)

    Your Pal,

  4. Look-In was always a bit of an oddity. As a sci-fi/genre kid you wanted to read it but all the mushy pop star stuff kind of pushed it into the realm of being a magazine for girls. A shame, as they also frequently ran Sapphire & Steel adventure strips.
